Japanese From Scratch

You will learn the language you need for basic survival in Japanese speaking countries, including how to ask and give basic information and short conversations in a variety of settings. Learning is through tutor presentation and practice with the emphasis on speaking.

What topics will I study?

Part 2 (Apr 24th- Jun 26th)

• Talking about a plan
• Dates
• Transport
• Family
• Talking about everyday activities
• Talking about the events of a weekend
• Japanese characters (Katakana)

Part 2 would be suitable for the students who have already learnt the contents of Part 1:

• Pronunciation introduction,
• Giving personal information
• Numbers and counters
• Time
• Talking about a nearby object and its owner
• Shopping
• Japanese characters (Hiragana)

Part 2: It’s a continuation course and therefore suitable for people who have already learnt the contents of Part 1 (please see Overview) or done some Japanese.

Students have to buy a textbook costing approximately £23 and the title will be announced during the course.
