Learning Support at Exeter College - how do we support learners?

Exeter College has an excellent record in providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where all our learners, whether you are doing a full-time or part-time course or training, have equal opportunity, regardless of any physical or learning disability you might have.

To make sure we provide the highest standards of support and inclusiveness, our Learning Support Team are experienced and dedicated people whose aim is to meet the individual needs of all our students.

If you have a learning difficulty, a sensory impairment, or a physical disability, we will provide you with all the support that you need so that you can attend and enjoy and achieve on your course at Exeter College. It is our mission to help you succeed.

Who are the Learning Support Team and what do we do?


In the Team there are:
  • Learning Support Specialists

  • Educational Psychologists
  • Specialist Dyslexia Teachers and Assessors
We provide:
  • Support to students linked to assessment of your needs
  • Assessment to ensure we arrange the right access to exams for you
  • Maths Workshop
  • Study Skills and Writing Workshop
Support is guided by our:
  • Learning Support Co-ordinator
  • Dyslexia Co-ordinator
  • IT, Sensory and Physical Impairment Co-ordinator
  • Neurodiversity Co-ordinator
  • Mental Health Co-ordinator
