Exeter College can give you training that enhances your chances of employment
Exeter College is offering skills support for those facing significant barriers that prevent them from entering employment. Working closely with the Job Centre Plus, we have put together a range of short courses to help you get ‘that’ job. Our training will prepare you for real employment opportunities within the labour market and current vacancies, particularly in:
- the security industry,
- storage and warehousing,
- administration and computing,
- accounting, business and management.
Our courses are flexible and responsive to your circumstances. We offer multiple start dates throughout the year and have a range of courses between 9 and 75 hours long.
What we can do for you…..
- Following a referral from the Job Centre Plus, we will offer you an informal interview with information and advice about the courses and college
- We will work with you to develop an individual learning plan
- We will provide you with a quality learning experience
We will give you an exit interview at the end of your training and follow-up for 3 months after the training
Eligibility...
The courses are available from July 2009 to Jobcentre Plus customers aged 19 or over who have been unemployed or under notice of redundancy. If you are interested, please contact your Jobcentre Plus Advisor who will discuss your options and if appropriate, refer you to Exeter College for the skills training.
