Course and Training Costs
The costs of the wide range of courses and training you can do at Exeter College
depends on
- What course or training you are doing
- How old you are and where you live
- Whether you are already receiving other types of benefits.
In general however:
Full Time courses
All the full time courses, such as AS levels, BTEC First and National Diplomas are free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and the European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course). If you are 19 or over please contact us to find out costs.
Apprenticeship and work based training
If you are on an Apprenticeship or doing work-based learning at college while you
are in work, then the training is free if you are 16 – 18 at the start of the training,
since this is paid by the Learning and Skills Council. If you are aged 19 – 24 the
funding is limited and your employer will have to pay a contribution towards the
training. Please talk to us about how much this will be. If you are on our Entry
to Employment (e2e) programme this is free to you
Adult and part time access courses
These do vary depending on the course and whether you are on benefits such as Council
Tax benefit, Working Families Tax Credit, Housing Benefit, Income Support etc. Our
Adult Learning courses guide shows what the course fees are and whether
there are reductions if you are on benefits.
