Level: Level 3      Part-time  - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.15am-2.45pm (hours may vary)

This course gives you an opportunity to choose either a health care or social care pathway to a wide range of higher education courses.

What are the entry requirements?

4 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent qualification with an ability and commitment to study at level 3. Relevant work experience desirable but not mandatory. You will be required to have an interview.

What can I do after this course/training?

This course is aimed at those who wish to progress to Higher Education (usually University).

What Functional skills will I do?

You will do Functional Skills in IT, Communication, and Application of Number. These are part of the Core Programme.

How do I study the course/training and how will I be assessed?

The sessions will be a mixture of lectures, discussion, group work, presentations and role plays. A large part of your course will be assessed by written assignments and a small part of your course will be assessed by examination.

What facilities are there?

You will have access to the learning resource centre and on occasion the IT suite in the Hele Building.

Fee: £620.00; Reduced fee: £285.00

There are no compulsory additional costs but you may benefit from purchasing a text book.
