Ayurvedic cooking and diet for better health and weight loss

How long is the course/training? 6 weeks (15 hours)

What will I be doing on the course/training?

You will:
·  Learn breathing exercises to improve health, increase metabolism, and improve digestion and elimination of toxins
·  Learn about Ayurveda, the world’s most holistic health-care system
·  Learn your unique Ayurvedic body-type
·  Learn to choose foods suitable for your body-type and present state of balance to create better health
·  Learn diets to reduce ama or toxic material as well as to reduce excess fat
·  Learn the Ayurvedic rules of eating to improve absorption of nutrients and proper elimination of toxins
·  Learn how to prepare balanced meals to help reduce weight and improve health
·  Learn traditional Ayurvedic cooking techniques to prepare more health food.

What are the entry requirements?

No previous knowledge of cooking or Ayurveda is required.

What can I do after this course/training?

After the course you will be able to improve your health and reduce excess weight through the advice given. Other courses: • Ayurvedic diet and exercises for health and natural weight loss • Yoga, yogic breathing and Ayurveda for better health

How to Apply?

These are recreational and leisure courses and whilst many take place across the city in a range of community venues, you must enrol at college by filling in an application form before the course starts. How do I study the course/training and how will I be assessed?

The course is based on taught sessions, demonstrations and discussions. There is no exam.

What facilities are there?

Handouts to allow you to practice at home. The College library and learning centre is available for use by students.

Fee: £63.00  Reduced fee: £15.00

Cost of ingredients (these are fairly basic and not inexpensive).
