How long is the course/training? This is a one-year, full-time course.

What will I be doing on the course/training?

Do you want to learn relevant skills and knowledge to work in business?

This practical course will give you the professional skills needed to thrive in a business environment and to make a difference. Our team of business specialists will encourage you to delve into the many aspects of business.

This course is ideal if you have successfully completed the HND or Foundation Degree in a Business or Management related subject, then this one-year full-time or two-year part-time course awarded by the University of Exeter could be for you. The course will build upon the skills and knowledge that you have already acquired and enable you to further develop your specialist in areas such as Marketing and Human Resource Management.

What are the entry requirements?

Students would normally hold an HND qualification with a Merit profile in a business-related study area. A Foundation Degree with a grade profile of 50% or above is also acceptable.

What can I do after this course/training?

Students can progress onto further study at the University of Exeter. Direct entry into employment at junior management level or onto a graduate recruitment scheme.

What residential/work experience is there?

There is no formal work placement, but the Management Project module can provide an opportunity to investigate a business problem and develop work-based learning and skills, as well as introducing the student to the application of a range of research methods.

How do I study the course/training and how will I be assessed?

Teaching will be through a mixture of formal lectures, practical sessions and academic tutorials. You will engage in a series of activities that will be based upon research of relevant publications and case studies, aimed at developing underlying knowledge of conceptual issues and the understanding of current developments. You will be expected to study outside class time. Most modules will be assessed by a mixture of coursework and examinations. The Management Project is a research based module and is assessed by 100% coursework.

What facilities are there?

You will have access to a learning resource centre both at Exeter College and at the University of Exeter.  There is a refectory in Victoria House.

What will the course/training cost me?
