Level: Level 2      Part-time  Half a day a week
How long is the course/training? The course normally runs from September to August although other options may be available.

What will I be doing on the course/training?

The qualification is based on units divided into levels of competence; you select the units to give sufficient credits for a full qualification.  Exeter College provides training and assessment for each of the three levels.

Business and Administration Levels 2/3 - this course provides training in the fundamentals of Business and Administration:
·  Use office equipment
·  Work within your business environment
·  Maintain customer relations
·  Research and report information
·  Produce documents
·  Use a telephone system
·  Use IT systems

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements but good GCSE grades in Maths and English Language will prove beneficial.

What can I do after this course/training?

Successful completion of Business and Administration level 2 will enable students to progress to level 3.

What Functional skills will I do?

Apprenticeship - students without a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English will need to complete Functional skills at level 1 in Application of Number and level 2 in Communication. T2G and Self Funding – students do not need to do functional skill.

What residential/work experience is there?

None specified but students working within an IT environment will be encouraged to provide evidence from their workplace, as part of their portfolio.

How do I study the course/training and how will I be assessed?

Students are given formal lectures and directed tuition to support their training programme. In addition, a great deal of time and emphasis is given to practise exercises, simulations and assignments to enable you to develop your skills.
