What are the entry requirements?
You should be good at art and/or media and normally have four or more GCSEs at grade E or above, or a recommendation from your school.
What can I do after this course/training?
A Merit or Distinction, plus passes in Functional Skills Communications, IT and Number at level 1, will enable you to go onto the BTEC First Diploma in Art and Design or you may look for a job.

How do I study the course/training and how will I be assessed?
You will be supported by your teachers in building up a portfolio of work. There are no timed exams but you will need to meet deadlines for completing work and will be assessed on what you produce. Your portfolio will be graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction.
What facilities are there?
The Art and Design Department has eighteen art studios, a Print workshop, a Ceramics workshop, a 3D workshop, Photographic darkrooms, Photoshop and PremierPro software on PCs.
What will the course/training cost me?
This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and the European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
