
What’s on offer?
The Army is offering an exciting new incentive to work in partnership with local Colleges to support a one year programme for students wishing to join the Army. To qualify you must be British, aged 16 - 32 years old, medically and physically fit and interested in joining the Army. Generally the Bursary is aimed at level two students but, both level one and three students will be considered providing you meet the criteria and are intending to have a career in the Army.
How will it benefit you?
The Army will help fund your course to a maximum of £4000. We will award you £1000 per year at college up to a maximum three years. We will then award you a further £1000 on completion of Phase 1 training. You will be mentored through your course by an Army Recruiter and will be invited to come along to organised Army activities to help keep your interest and focus.
The courses that qualify:
Health and Social Care, Public Services, Animal Care and Veterinary Services, Engineering, Transportation Operations and Maintenance, Building and Construction, ICT Practitioners, ICT for Users, Warehousing and Distribution, Hospitality and Catering, Sport, Leisure and Recreation, Media and Communication, Publishing and Information Services, Music, Other Languages, Literature and Culture, Administration and Business Management.

Step 1 -
Find out more - speak with your local Army Careers Adviser or Speak to Student Services at your College.
Step 2 -
Show your interest - Apply to to the Army Careers Adviser to join the Bursary Scheme before enrolment at College or Enrol on your college course and then apply to the Army Careers Adviser - don't worry, the Army Careers Adviser will be in contact with your college's Student Services to find out who is interested in joining the Army.
Step 3 -
Apply - Your Army Careers Adviser will guide you through a simple process. There are three parts:
1. Complete either an Army Interest Form available from your local Army Careers Information Office or your Army Careers Adviser.
2. Complete a medical declaration form.
3. Have an interview with the Army Career Adviser to discuss options.
