We've been Devon's top performing FE college for the last three years! Our
success rates put us in the top 5% of colleges in England!
In 2010 our student results were above the national average by:
- 9% for A Level Results
- 10% for Level 1 courses (16-18 year olds)
- 1% for Apprenticeships across all industry sectors
In 2011 our A Levels had an outstanding 99.75% pass rate. Over half of the 600 students collecting their results gained A* A or B grades. Our A Level pass rate places us in the top 10% of all Sixth Form Colleges in the UK.
We were the first FE college in the country to be inspected in a no-notice pilot
and were graded 'Outstanding' in all areas!
We are continuing to invest in new facilities including a new Technology Centre, opening in September 2012, a partnership to run a £5.6million Outdoor Education Centre at Haven Banks as well as current facilities including a High Definition TV Studio, commercial restaurant, hair salons and beauty spa, new state of the art music and recording studios, performance theatre, access to the Flybe Training Academy and a newly-expanded Construction Centre with specialist training areas.
Our action-packed enrichment programme has something for everyone, whether you are interested in the Ten Tors Challenge and Duke of Edinburgh Award, learning sign language or developing your creative writing skills.
Our average class size is just 18 - making sure you get the attention you deserve!
We offer over 30 A Levels, a wide range of vocational courses and a huge choice of apprenticeship opportunities, studying at all levels, there is something for everyone.
Our support team include personal tutors, absence monitors, counsellors, nurses, college advisers, progression officers and welfare and finance officers to make sure you have all the support you need to succeed.
