Learning in a college environment

Studying at a college is different from studying at school in lots of ways:

  • Your classes will be smaller – our average class size is 18.
  • You can choose from different types of course so that you study something you will enjoy and suits the way you learn.
  • College is an adult environment where you are responsible for your learning and managing your studies.
  • Your timetable will be different from school - you might start college at 9am or finish at 4.30pm but you might not have lessons all day. Many students have a Wednesday afternoon free to take part in enrichment activities or sports. Every student's timetable is different but to give you an example of what your timetable might look like, click the examples below:
